ASIS Protection of Assets (POA) – Security Management Practice Exam

An effective guard force management program is built on clearly defining how the security team is staffed and scheduled, planning patrol routes to maximize coverage and deterrence, establishing incident reporting and logging, setting training and qualification requirements, defining performance standards, and creating a supervision structure to enforce policies and coach performance. Together, these elements create consistent, accountable operations, enable monitoring and improvement, and support a swift, coordinated response to incidents. Branding guidelines, financial accounting procedures, and the software development lifecycle don’t address how a guard force is managed day to day, so they’re not elements of a guard force management program.
